Let’s refrain and fight causes of theft, rape deliquescence among others crimes
On August 17, 2019 in Gicumbi District in Northern Province, the Minister of Justice and Attorney General Busingye Johnston officiated the closure of Police Month Campaign.
During the function, the minister handed over a house to a vulnerable family in Mutete Sector, launched a police station at Kaniga and Cyumba all of which took Rw57 million, constructed by Rwanda National Police in collaboration with residents of the area.
In his message, Minister Busingye asked the residents to spread the message of avoiding all sorts of crimes.
“Let’s start with these noble acts and conclude to fight all sorts of crimes in Mutete. Let each one of you be an ambassador of the message of refraining from crime” Minister Busingye said.
“Let’s fight all forms of causes of crime including theft, rape, deliquescence among others and fight them with all our might” Minister Busingye added.
Minister Busingye asked residents of to be vigilant such that Ebola doesn’t enter Rwanda by avoiding hugs or handshakes while greeting and increase hygiene by constant washing of hands.
During this Police Month Campaign, 30 houses were built for vulnerable families with one in each district around the country.
