On 19th May 2022, the Ministry of Justice in partnership with World Bank Rwanda Country Office organised, at Lemigo Hotel, a two-day training for Government lawyers and contract managers on World Bank standard contract for works.
The purpose of the training is to upskill Government lawyers and contract managers in regard to drafting, interpretation and management of works contract.
While opening the training, Minister Ugirashebuja emphasized that Upskilling Government of Rwanda officials will certainly enhance service delivery & greatly contribute to the attainment of rule of law & social protection, which fall squarely within the main goals of the World Bank.
"It is our ambition to consistently identify training needs of GoR lawyers and to close the gap by providing them with appropriate skills. It is also our hope that the World Bank will join hands and walk with us through this journey so that we can train a wider range of lawyers." He added
